In today's environment, law enforcement agencies require
the capacity to respond to violent and threatening activities.
However, such response needs to be measured, well planned
and defensible. NPSLC draws upon some of North America's
leading experts in tactical response. Although their training
includes such things as dynamic entry, hostage rescue
and barricaded suspect, these specialists also specialize
in less-than-lethal force options, tactical withdrawal
and disengagement training for front line officers, and
personal safety programs for educators, health care and
social workers. The training team has a tremendous amount
of experience with managing "Emotionally Disturbed
Persons" (EDP's), and has been instrumental in the
development of the Canadian ""Force Continuum
Model" for national law enforcement application. |
